Scholarship Application Procedures

The following application procedures relate ONLY to the following scholarships:

• Australian Postgraduate Award - APA
• Monash Graduate Scholarships - MGS
• Monash Silver Jubilee Postgraduate Scholarship - MSJS
• Sir James McNeill Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship - SJMcN
• Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship - IPRS
• Monash International Postgraduate Research Scholarship - MIPRS
• Vera Moore International Postgraduate Research Scholarship - VMIPRS

Doctoral and research programs are offered in Art & Design; Arts; Business & Economics; Education; Engineering; Information Technology; Law; Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences; Pharmacy; Science and the Accident Research Centre.

One application kit covers all of these scholarships and is available late July each year from departments, centres and other academic units at Monash University. The application kit comprises the application form and the application guide. Please refer to the Special information for prospective applicants before contacting the department for a scholarship application form.

NOTE: Scholarship application forms are NOT available on the web or from the Research Graduate School. Applicants MUST contact the department in which they wish to study in to request a scholarship application form.

A list of contacts in each department/school is also available.

Please read the application guide carefully. In particular, please note the section on H1 Equivalence Procedures and the effect of prior candidature/scholarship on the duration of awards.

To be eligible, current honours students must have their results available in early December.

By the closing date applicants are also required to provide evidence of meeting the English language requirements, otherwise the application will be deemed INELIGIBLE.

Closing Date for applications is 31 October each year
