Annual Progress Reports

Who can be exempted from completing an Annual Progress Report?

The following may request exemption from completing a report:

• Candidates who have completed the confirmation of candidature process in the last three months (i.e., from 14 March 2009); 
• Faculty of Arts candidates who have completed the mid-candidature review process in the last three months (i.e., from 14 March 2009); 
• Candidates who have completed the upgrade to doctoral candidature process in the last three months (i.e., from 14 March 2009); 
• PhD staff candidates (but excluding those staff members enrolled under standard PhD conditions of candidature);
• Candidates who have submitted their thesis for examination;
• Former candidates who have withdrawn from their course;
• Former candidates who have reached candidature end date and have lapsed candidature; and
• Candidates who have taken intermission or will be on intermission for more than 9 months during the period 1 July 2008 - 30 June 2009.

Please note:  Any student who commenced candidature after 13 March 2009 is not required to submit a 2009 APR.

A 'request for exemption from completing a report' form will need to be completed and returned to the Monash Research Graduate School. Evidence of confirmation / upgrade / mid-candidature review, if applicable, must be attached.
