Candidate contribution to authorship:
The candidate would be expected to be the first named author and have a contribution of at least 50%. The Victorian College of Pharmacy Graduate Studies Committee will adjudicate if a case is presented of less than 50% contribution. (i.e. if less than 50% contribution, the candidate would still need to be the first named author to clearly indicate their significant role to the publication)
Methodology:
As per a traditional thesis, it is expected that the thesis by publication will clearly demonstrate the theme and links between the various chapters, for example: if a methods section in a publication is necessarily brief to meet journal requirements, the details should be expanded in an appendice to that chapter of the thesis. |
