Chapter 2: Admission to doctoral & MPhil candidature

2.9 Conditional candidature

When an applicant is, at the time of application, under examination for another degree, the Research Graduate School Committee may decide to approve admission conditional upon the applicant qualifying for the other degree within a specified period of time. Where the degree under examination is the primary qualification required for doctoral or MPhil admission (and not merely an additional qualification), doctoral or MPhil enrolment may not be authorised until the requirements for the degree under examination have been met.
