Research programs
Monash University defines a research degree as those courses which include a research project which makes up at least 66 percent of the course. The research project involves one-on-one supervision by academic staff of an agreed directed task undertaken by the candidate. Assessment is via production of a thesis or other appropriate large body of work. Research courses which are not 100 percent research include coursework and/or other means of assessment.
